STONE CARVING

On-Site Systems can produce dramatic effects in carved stone for building signs or neighborhood entry markers. Stone carving by sandblasting logos and graphics into the stone and applying a paint fill into the sandblasted areas highlights the design and gives it an added dimension that can make a great difference in the presentation of your company image.

This work can be performed into all types of stone and can be completed in our shop or in the field. Sandblasting varying depths into stone can be achieved to give it a 3D effect, along with multiple colors to compliment any design.

Some of the many stone products we work with are brick and tile. They can accent your home or business in many different ways, whether on a walkway, entry way or on a wall, can bring a unique flare to your project. Another use for both materials would be for fundraisers for your company or favorite organizations. On-Site Systems can blast most text and/or graphics that you or your company may desire.

SPECIFICATIONS
On-Site Systems has sandblasted stone and etched glass monuments for projects such as: The WIMSA Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery, 18'10" tall Coca Cola Bottle at The World of Coke, Atlanta, Ga., 70 ft. tall Sesquicentennial tower in Gadsden, AL. and many others.
Stone & Monument Specification Checklist Should Include:

1. Type of material to be sandblasted? On-Site Systems can sandblast any stone material from granite to limestone.

2. Font or typestyle and size of text (if any)? We have over 2000 fonts available.

3. Depth of etching desired? The typical depth used is 1/8 to 3/16" deep. Graphics can be sandblasted to varying depths to create a multidimensional design.

4. Paint fill color and type if required? When using color a visual depth is created that adds contrast and texture to the stone. A PMS color match is available upon request.

5. Placement of text or artwork on stone? The industry standard eye level above the finished floor is approximately 5'2" to 5'4" aff. In many cases, the center of a logo etched on a vertical surface should be raised slightly above center so as to not appear too low.

6. Specify On-Site Systems as a source in your plans to ensure your project will be completed correctly and in a professional manner.
