When the best screen printers in the world competed in the Screen-printing & Graphic Imaging Association International&#s Golden Image Award, Coptech Digital, Inc., Woburn, Massachusetts stood out, leaving with a Gold Award of Excellence for Compact Discs, True Process Color and two Awards of Merit for Compact Discs, Single Multicolor from www.coptechdigital.com.
More than 154 companies from around the world entered the competition, submitting a total 2,393 prints to 44 categories. The event combined entries from many companies into the largest Golden Image awards competition yet. There was no doubt that quality in product has increased throughout the years of competition. The competition is held annually and varies in the number of entries.

That&#s quite an accomplishment! And indeed it was. Many people were impressed with the high quality of competition and the efforts put into the exhibition.
The judges had a very difficult time this year. Not because of the sheer volume of entries, but because of the overall quality of the work. Judges in virtually every category told me the entries were so good that choosing winners was a real challenge, said Alan Anderson, Vice President, Education and Management Services. Anderson added that the Golden Image is a technical competition, excluding aesthetic issues from the judging process. Prints were judged on the level of difficulty and quality of execution.
Winning the Gold Award of Excellence for Compact Discs puts Coptech Digital, Inc. among the top screen printers in the world in terms of quality and capability. The ability to consistently print such high quality products indicates that Coptech Digital, Inc. is an expert at controlling the many variables involved in screen printing, Anderson said.
